High school!

I found out that I will be teaching at a "prestigious" foreign language high school in Daegu, along with three other EPIK teachers. This age level was not my first choice, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that I might actually get to use some of my skills that I went to all that college to acquire. If these kids are advanced, or at least have a working knowledge of English, then I can bring in short stories, poetry, maybe even novels to work with; maybe I can even give them some creative writing assignments. This makes me very excited! It's also pretty cool that there will be three other English teachers at the school--this is unusual for a public school, where typically you're the only one. Hopefully we will be able to collaborate on some assignments, or at least bounce ideas off each other.

Joe and I are getting last minute stuff together now....buying things we won't be able to get over there cheaply: coffee, sheets (yes, sheets), honey (Joe loves the honey). We've got about a week before we go. Tick, tick, tick.....
