So here's something awesome: apparently there is this thing in Korea called Fan Death. Many Korean people (usually from the older generation) believe that if you leave a fan on in your bedroom when you go to sleep, that you will die. The fan will somehow murder you in the night by either sucking out all the oxygen in the room, or maybe escaping its confines and slicing you to death. I sort of made that last part up, but the oxygen part is definitely true. The older generation also fears air conditioning for similar reasons.
For my part, I'm going to chance it and keep turning the fan and A/C on.

That sounds like a mean story told to children in an effort to keep electricity costs low. Keep using that fan. 89% humidity ain't fun. :(
